How to Choose a Password

Now we are using the Internet for a wide range of activities. We are using email, social networks, online banking etc. For this reason, we need a password for own security. You can safeguard all your online accounts with a password. Passwords help you against identity theft. Choosing a strong password is a consequential part of threatening the risk of becoming a victim.

If anyone asks you about password,

if I use a long password, is it possible to hack my email?

What will be your answer? My answer is

Long password is not good enough. If your password is “myname1234567890?, Is it safe?

 

Here are some tips for choosing passwords for your online accounts.

When choosing a password you should remember some things.

• Make your passwords memorable
• Don’t use same password for multiple accounts.
• Keep your password safe

Don’t use self-evident password that can be easily guessed, such as your name, your country name, your mobile number, your birthday etc. Some of the people use “123456″ or his/her name for choosing his/her password. Don’t use to recycle passwords. Whether your mail account’s password is “whoisnext” don’t use “whoisnext11″ for your Facebook account. Don’t use real words, use a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and non-alphanumeric characters. I think “WhoIsNext1!” is better than “whoisnext11″. There have another good way to choose a password. You be able choose the first letters of a sentence that you will remember. E.g. “I have two friends called Labib and Sazzad” gives: “Ih2fcLaS”. Use punctuation to your advantage, remember the sentence as “I have two friends called Labib and Sazzad”, which would give: “Ih2f,L&S”

 

Don’t write your password in a file on your computer. Because this file could be stolen by cyber criminals.
